International Conference on CAD/CAM, Robotics and Factories of the Future

We would like to invite you to attend the 25th International Conference on CAD/CAM, Robotics and Factories of the Future (CARsFOF), 2010.

The key component of the conference is to provide an international forum for presentation & discussion of the latest scientific concepts & technological developments in the field of CAD/CAM, Robotics and Factory of the Future technologies. It also intends to promote the sharing of ideas and emerging technologies, as well as to foster research and develop collaborations among local and international academia, research institutions and relevant industries.

We would like to invite you to attend the 25th International Conference on CAD/CAM, Robotics and Factories of the Future (CARsFOF), 2010. The conference is being organised under the auspices of the International Society for Productivity Enhancement (ISPE) by the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and CSIR.

This is the second CARsFOF, conference to be hosted in South Africa, the first was hosted in Durban in 2001. This, the 25th conference, will be held a the CSIR International Convention Centre (www.csiricc.co.za), in the hospitable capital city of Pretoria, also known as Tshwane, from 12 – 15 July 2010.

The key component of the conference is to provide an international forum for presentation & discussion of the latest scientific concepts & technological developments in the field of CAD/CAM, Robotics and Factory of the Future technologies. It also intends to promote the sharing of ideas and emerging technologies, as well as to foster research and develop collaborations among local and international academia, research institutions and relevant industries.

You can expect a cutting-edge scientific programme focusing on a number of themes, with an interesting line-up of world renowned speakers.

Who should attend?

Due to the multi-disciplinary and diverse nature of CAD/CAM, Robotics and Automation, and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, delegates are expected from a wide variety of fields such as: automotive manufacturing, defence industry, mining, electronic and electrical industries.

Higher educational institutions that have research interests in Advanced Manufacturing, Mechatronics and Robotics will also be keen to attend. Postgraduate students studying in the afore mentioned areas would benefit significantly from the conference.
